The Active Running Wheel System for mice relies on the animals' spontaneous movement to drive the rotation of the running wheel. In this configuration, information about the long-term activities of animals in the cage (such as the rotation direction, number of revolutions, and cumulative total distance of the running wheel) can be recorded by a length meter using an encoder. This device consists of a running wheel assembly, a cage body, and a rotation direction and speed sensor. It is an experimental tool for studying the circadian rhythms of animals. A feeder can also be optionally equipped for exercise reward experiments and other related studies.
