The M5091 Adapter consists of an experimental platform, three sets of dovetail slider assemblies and a nose clip assembly. Its tail connecting plate is compatible with mainstream positioners on the market. The ear bars are made of resin, with tips precisely designed as "round head + taper", which balances the stability of head fixation and the protection of animal skulls. The heights of the ear bars on both sides and the incisor clip can be freely adjusted, and the upper and lower adjustment mechanisms are equipped with symmetrical scales, suitable for multi-angle experiments. Aiming at the characteristic that young rats have no ear canals, zygomatic bone fixing sleeves are added to replace the pointed ear bars, realizing stable fixation.
Typical Applications
- Used with positioners: Applied in experiments such as brain positioning, injection, electroencephalogram recording and brain imaging;
- Used independently: After fixing the head, conduct experiments related to legs, back and other parts.
Core Technical Parameters
- Mouse head fixation: Adopt the method of "clamping incisors, pressing the bridge of the nose and inserting into the ear canal";
- Adjustment function: Ear bars can be smoothly fine-tuned up/down and left/right; nose-mouth clips can be smoothly fine-tuned up/down and front/back;
- Adjustment operation: Both ear bars and nose-mouth clips adopt a three-step operation of "loosening screws—pushing components—tightening screws" to improve efficiency;
- Scale marks: The upper and lower adjustments of ear bars and nose-mouth clips are equipped with scales.
